Latest Products/Feature Request Board topics – Ring Community

Posted by jpluimers on 2025/01/03

Yup, I have been in the Ring ecosystem since way before Amazon took them over, and it is kind of hard to part from the useful cameras, so here is for my link archive: [Wayback/Archive] Latest Products/Feature Request Board topics – Ring Community

Via two suggestions I did:

  1. [Wayback/Archive] Jeroen Wiert Pluimers on Twitter: “@ring two UI ideas for you: 1. when logging on at the web-site, strip spaces from the pasted OTP token: this makes it easier to logon (many OTP tools show 123456 as 123 456. When pasted as 123 456 currently the last 6 is stripped).”
  2. [Wayback/Archive] Jeroen Wiert Pluimers on Twitter: “@ring 2. For battery operated devices, provide a graph of battery level over time. This allows for easier prediction on when a battery needs to be charged/replaced. Now I manually put the replacement timestamps in my calendar for that which is error prone and quite a hassle.”
  3. [Wayback/Archive] Ring on Twitter: “@jpluimers Thanks for your response. We will make sure to forward your feedback to the right team. Feel free to post this idea on the Feature Request board we have on the Ring Community as well, which you can find here: community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24. Let us know if there’s anything else.”
