Afgelopen weekeinde waren we met een groep kanovaren rondom Lisse/Sassenheim. We hadden lunch aan de rand van een stukje akker waar we relatief makkelijk uit de kano’s konden komen.
Een soort landelijke picknick in de zon: altijd leuk om te doen.
Maandagavond werd ik door 1 van de deelnemers gebeld: hij had een enorme rode jeukende vlek op zijn arm met allemaal blaren, en dacht dat hij brandnetels geraakt had.
Die stonden er niet, bovendien gaat het na aanraking van brandnetels meteen branden en deze plek was pakweg een dag later gekomen. Dus het moest iets anders zijn, maar wat?
Hij is ermee naar de huisarts geweest die tot de conclusie kwam: aanraking van Berenklauw in combinatie met blootstelling aan zonlicht. Dat veroorzaakt namelijk Fytofotodermatitis door Fototoxiciteit, en kan bij veel mensen enorme brandplekken geven. Read the rest of this entry »

Notities adressen en GBA, Woonadres of Briefadres, maar geen Correspondentieadres of Verblijfadres.

Het GBA kent voor iemand een adres, dat ofwel een Woonadres ofwel een Briefadres (je moet dus kiezen, je kunt niet zowel een Woonadres als een Briefadres hebben). Deze adressen mogen geen Postbusadres zijn. Het GBA kent geen Correspondentieadres of Verblijfsadres.
De gemeente zou alle post naar het adres uit het GBA moeten sturen (in de praktijk gaat dit nogal eens mis).
Dit is relevant voor iemand die niet handelingsbekwaam is (en bijvoorbeeld post zoek maakt): dan is het handig om een Briefadres te hebben dat niet het Verblijfadres is. De meeste post gaat dan goed.
Als het Briefadres in een andere gemeente is dan het Verblijfadres van de persoon, dan is de gemeente van het Briefadres de daar waar je zaken rondom identiteitsbewijs, stemmen, etc plaatsvinden.
Die zaken zijn logitistiek wel te behappen.
Het GBA wordt ook gebruikt door instanties of regelingen als SVB, AWBZ, WMO, Belastingen en Toeslagen.
Daar wordt de logistiek ineens lastig, omdat ze vaak niet de markering “Briefadres” helemaal correct overnemen. Je moet dan uitleggen dat die persoon niet daadwerkelijk op het Briefadres verlijft: het Verbijlfadres moet je dan per regeling en vaak ook per instantie apart doorgeven.
Omdat een Briefadres geen Postbusadres mag zijn, ben je eigenlijk gebonden aan aan familielid of vertrouwenspersoon in de gemeente van het Verblijfadres om de logistiek eenvoudig te houden.
Binnenkort moet ik dit allemaal gaan regelen voor mijn broer: ik ben zijn curator, en het huidige briefadres is bij onze moeder. Zij wil gaandeweg eigenlijk van het briefadres af, maar ik zie als een berg op tegen de logistiek.
Wie heeft er meer ervaring om dit allemaal in goede banen te leiden?

Is there a Google Reader replacement that keeps ALL Google Reader history?

A while ago, I posted Google Reader alternatives: did you make a choice yet? indicating this about Feedly:
PRO: GR imported posts contains all history (even from blog feeds that are now defunct)
Well, I was proven wrong by this Feedly posting about the migration to their own cloud: [IMPORTANT] Preparing to be upgraded to the new feedly cloud | Building Feedly.
The one part we did not migrate from google reader is your history (too much data) so you have to expect that you are starting from a blank history and your unread counts will be reset. This is a one time issue.
Is there any Google Reader replacement that imports full history?

30 april 1993: the free and open WWW started…

This year, the Dutch Queens day this year had a special nature. On the nation level: the abdication by former Queen, now Princess Beatrix, and the succession and inauguration of King Willem-Alexander. On the marching band level: Adest Musica had their Dutch premiere of the new show Mother Earth which will be their entry during the quadrennial Word Music Concours this summer. On the personal level, my best friend visiting The Netherlands for just a few days, so finally a chance to catch up in person.
So I totally missed another important historic event: the 20th birthday of the releasing the WWW source code in the public domain.

I’m not alone: one spammer posted his full spam script on Scott Hanselmans blog, and of course, Scott blogged about it: Exposed A Blog Comment Spammers Source Template

The Europen evening premier of Frozen Planet in Concert: acoustic OK, video + composers’ introductions great

The Europen evening premier of Frozen Planet in Concert was much fun, and great to see the antarctic species we encountered alive at the big screen.
But the Ziggo Dome venue was too large to provide the right acoustic for a symphony orchestra like this Het Gelders Orkest. The sound was OK. Great though were the video footage, the humble introductions by the composer/conductor himself and Dutch translations by presenter Sacha de Boer.
Last two years (and hopefully next week “Return of the King”) the sound of Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest playing Lord of the Rings Live in De Doelen had awesome acoustic.
The Ziggo Dome should work on their acoustic system to match De Doelen.
