From the comments on Nick’s excellent post (that instantly made me feel hungry <g>):
If you find your developers bringing in their own equipment to work then you know there is a problem.
That reminds me of this story:My wife is not a developer, but she has a very familiar passion: to get things right. That involves a lot of keyboard and pointing-device activity.
Like me, she has had RSI in the past. I gave her a full size Lenovo 31P9304 Ultranav keyboard (with TrackPoint) for use at her work to help her prevent getting RSI again.
So: even though her employer can order lots of special things (like office furniture with Tempur memory foam to prevent strain), but not keyboards like this, do they now have a problem?
