Reminder for me to check if Google Photo’s allows you to tag people in individual photo’s.

Yes, I am aware that Google Photo’s apps (on at least Android) allow you to attach names to photo’s is selects as unrecognised.
I mean the other way around: have photo with one or more faces on it, then tag each face by hand.

Often, Google Photos does not auto-stitch a series of photos.
On Android, you can use this app in stead: [Wayback] Bimostitch Panorama Stitcher – Android-apps op Google Play
I stitched the panorama photo in the Tweet below with it [Wayback/Archive].

For my link archive, as sometimes uploading does not proceed, and I want to figure out the cause: [Wayback/Archive.is] How To Fix “Google Photos Not Uploading” On Android & iPhone
Before you start: Check your Back up Status
- Diagnose your Internet Connection
- Ensure you’re using the right backup settings
- Enable Backup Device Folders
- Disable Battery Optimization for Google Photos
- Enable Background Data Usage
- Keep Google Photos updated
- Reset/Reinstall the Google Photos app
I had to revert to 7. as 5. was already set, and 4. was not available in the settings.
That solved my issues.

Boy, I totally missed that the Google Photos search has become this smart: [WayBack] 8 Brilliant Search Tools Hidden Within Google Photos:
Google Photos’ search tools have powerful algorithms that are on par with that of Google’s search engine.

- Go to Google Photos settings and set Google Drive –
Sync photos & videos from Google Drive.- Google Takeout. G+Streams.Photos.
- Unzip locally.
- Copy the contents of ‘
Takeout\Google+ Stream\Photos\Photos from posts‘ to a directory inGoogle Drive\My Pictures- Fire up “Backup and Sync from Google” to upload
- Check the photos are now present in Photos.

After March 7, 2019, notifications for Google web products will no longer be accessible from the navigation bar.

Given more is dying, and the increased lack of confidence many people have in Google, more people are abandoning Google. More on that in a future post.

I keep a separate gallery app around just to be able to upload specific pictures to +Google Photos because there is no option to do so from the Photos
