Een moment van herdenking: 25 jaar na de Herculesramp.

Vandaag 25 jaar geleden alweer was de Herculesramp.
Elk jaar wat tranen voor René Hendriksen, waar ik samen mee gespeeld heb bij het muziekkorps Adest Musica en die na de ramp ineens weg viel bij evenementenorkest De Straatklinkers.
Er zijn natuurlijk nog veel meer slachtoffers te herdenken (een lijst staat op [Archive.is] Defensie maakt namen bekend van slachtoffers vliegramp | Trouw), en natuurlijk gaan ook gedachten uit naar naasten en degenen die het wel overleefd hebben (zoals [Wayback] Nicole Adams – Studio040 interview): zij ondervinden nog steeds een grote invloed op hun leven.
In 2011 werd de 15 jarige herdenking van de Herculesramp omlijst met het nummer Hymn to the Fallen tijdens de Nationale Taptoe 2011 in Ahoy (citaat van deze YouTube opname staat onderaan).
Het nummer komt uit de film Saving Private Ryan, en is geschreven door John Williams als eerbetoon aan alle gevallen militairen.
Sinds het in 2007 in het repertoire van Adest Musica kwam, hebben we het talloze malen gespeeld, uiteraard op 4 mei tijdens de nationale herdenking in Sassenheim, en ook op diverse uitvaarten van leden van Adest Musica.
Zowel het nummer als René hebben voor altijd een speciaal plaatsje in mijn hart.

Bloemencorso Bollenstreek vanwege warme winters voortaan een week eerder | NOS

Dit jaar is het corso als vanouds op 25 april. Volgend jaar rijden de praalwagens op 17 april. Afgesproken is wel dat het evenement nooit tijdens Pasen zal worden georganiseerd.

This was so much fun! Not just because doing circuit training with ex Dutch top skaters is really insightful, but especially their explanation on what happens on the mental level what happens when you suddenly have to stop performing at the world top level.
In my case, today will be my final marching performance with Adest Musica after al almost 40 year marching career, of which the last 30+ years at the world top level.
It is also the final performance of our show “The Composer” which won world second place in the top league in 2017 during the quadrennial World Music Contest in Kerkrade.

Afgelopen woensdag ter afsluiting van de nieuwe show “Nu” van Claudia de Breij met Adest Brass gespeeld in de Leidse Schouwburg.
Dit was echt een geweldige avond!

Zelf ben ik vanavond hier met de een voorproefje van de WMC 2017 show van Adest Musica: [WayBack] Zeister Taptoe keert terug op Slot Zeist | Korpsmuziek.nl:
De Stichting wilde met de viering van haar 5-harig bestaan en de organisatie van het 5e evenement een kwalitatief hoogstaand programma op een bijzondere locatie. Daarin is het bestuur geslaagd. Op de komende Bevrijdingsdag keert de Taptoe Zeist na bijna 25 jaar eenmalig terug op de historische locatie Slot Zeist. Hier vonden tussen 1984 en 1993 tien eerdere succesvolle taptoes plaats.
