Some interesting demographics on the G+ Delphi Developers community

Stefan Glienke started some interesting demographics polls on the G+ Delphi community.
Demographics are about group members that actually voted. Which might rule out Delphi programmers not writing English well.
Despite that, I think it actually tells a lot, especially when you read the comments as well.

I found it always nice that age did not matter so much in programming communities. I find it slightly odd and annoying when people focus on this.
Categorizing people, moaning about age, and craving for “fresh blood” in delphi communities is a little disgusting.
I know it’s used as an argument to effect change in politics regarding Delphi development and trying to stay relevant with other people. But it’s also a discriminating pressure on people.
I like variety, but looking always “who are we”, “where are we”, is annoying. It’s like people who look at themselves in the mirror always. Just go back and improve the subject/topic/problem itself, and stop focusing on unrelated “social” questions.

You may like it or not. But people are getting old, retire and die eventually.
Retired (many of them) and dead people don’t buy new Delphi versions, plain and simple.
