From a while ago, but a good day to share this:
Although for some scenarios, having two roles “all access” and “no access” is quite sufficient.

By sheer luck, Jen Gentleman pointed out that winfile.exe still lives on:
The source is at [Wayback/Archive.is] microsoft/winfile: Original Windows File Manager (winfile) with enhancements, and it looks exactly like the Windows 3.x through Windows NT 4.0 days.

Every site should present this as a captcha today.
Via [WayBack] Mumen Rusto on Twitter: “Ceci n’est pas une Captcha.… “
The captcha is by [WayBack] Senior Oops Engineer on Twitter: “Captcha: select all squares that contain a pipe Magritte: 😓”.
He posted it about 2 years ago as [WayBack] Senior Oops Engineer on Twitter: “oh fuck oh no… “.

The Mic Drop button worked so well (besides confusing the heck out of many people, it sometimes even got activated while sending a normal email) that GMail has retracted their April 1st joke.
What a prank (:

Many people mentioned the April 1st prank by Google: 8-bit maps, and a NES Google Maps cartridge (quote at 0:55: blow on the cartridge to fix bugs ROFL!)
Today Google Maps has a quest mode, rendering the maps in Nintendo NES “quality”.
Few people really used it, and missed the glorious 8-bit streetview, and the really nice landmarks that you see when you zoom in to a scale of 500 meter or better.
You can even link to the 8-bit maps and to the 8-bit street view!.
