Cool (and available both for regular Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Zero):
[Wayback/Archive] GitHub – PiSCSI/piscsi: PiSCSI allows a Raspberry Pi to function as emulated SCSI devices (hard disk, CD-ROM, and others) for vintage SCSI-based computers and devices. This is a fork of the RaSCSI project by GIMONS.
I wonder how it compares feature wise and performance wise to [Wayback/Archive] BlueSCSI (which is Raspberry Pi Pico based, see [Wayback/Archive] index – BlueSCSI v2 Documentation, and now has a [Wayback/Archive] BlueSCSI Wi-Fi Desk Accessory – joshua stein which is open source at [Wayback/Archive] jcs/wifi_da – BlueSCSI Wi-Fi Desk Accessory for classic Mac OS – AmendHub and important to for instance [Wayback/Archive] Adding Wi-Fi to the Macintosh Portable – joshua stein).

After last weeks post Download your Kindle books soon, because Amazon will block them after February 25, 2025. Since I could not get a physical Kindle on time, I decided to do the conversion on Windows as:
[Wayback/Archive] How to Remove DRM From Kindle Books [DRM-free books 2025 ] has steps not just for a physical Kindle, but also when running Kindle 1.17 on MacOS or Windows.
Windows was easiest to find through [Wayback/Archive] Chocolatey Software | Kindle for PC 1.17 which mentions how to try to install version 1.17. That leads to the below mentioned error which mentions the download location and full filename.
The downloads/installers you need are at:

[Wayback/Archive] Thread by @lauriewired on Thread Reader App – SSDs are shockingly bad at power off retention, esp if it’s near it’s endurance rating.
Your files are dying.
That SSD you keep in the closet, the one from your old system “just in case”. Yup, degrading as we speak.
SSDs are *shockingly* bad at power off retention, esp if it’s near it’s endurance rating.
The JEDEC standard only requires 1 year of unpowered data retention at 30C after max TBW (writes).

[WaybackSave/Archive] Corran Addison – The best, most cogent and elegantly simple explanation into the inexplicably destructive negotiating processes of the president,by Prof. David Honig of Indiana University. | Facebook
…
So when you approach international negotiation, in a world as complex as ours, with integrated economies and multiple buyers and sellers, you simply must approach them through integrative bargaining. If you attempt distributive bargaining, success is impossible.
…
From a professional negotiation point of view, Trump isn’t even bringing checkers to a chess match. He’s bringing a quarter that he insists of flipping for heads or tails, while everybody else is studying the chess board to decide whether its better to open with Najdorf or Grünfeld.

Wow, so many valuable lessons learned in [Wayback/Archive] Security through transparency: RP2350 Hacking Challenge results are in – Raspberry Pi
Plus another challenge that they will start in a week:
As a component of the broader RP2350 security architecture, we’ve been working to develop an implementation of AES which is hardened against side-channel attacks (notably differential power analysis), and we’ll be challenging you to defeat it. Check back next week for more details.
Plus of course the very important last sentence:
All vendors have security vulnerabilities in their chips. We are unusual because we talk about them, and aim to fix them, rather than brushing them under the carpet. Security through transparency is here to stay.
