Funny: 2300+ hits and counting…

Not sure why, but this article that I write 4 years ago suddenly got 2300 hits from Google Search in a few hours time: Solution for “Error Code: 0x80246002″ on Microsoft Update when installing “Microsoft .NET Framework 4 for Windows Server 2003 x86 KB982671”.
Microsoft just got some 300 extra .NET 4.0 installer downlaods through it too (:

It means that it has either been pinpointed as a google rich title OR a spambot picked it up and has it highlighted. Well done! People actually work hard to make that happen. ;)

Thanks!
Yesterday it ended at 3300+ hits (causing an all time high of my blog of 5000+ hits/day, twice as much as the previous high, and ~5 times the daily average).
Today the hit count for that article is at 1000+ and counting.
Too bad I cannot get better demographics (reminder to self: setup Google Analytics one day).

Often they won’t show as direct contacts, as in showing a website they are from, because the bots have filters for that. But enjoy the views and congrats man! :)

You’ll still get the hits daily. I have several posts that have this happen. :)
