[Wayback/Archive] FemFM – 〝50% vrouw in je oor, of we zappen door!〞 werd in 2024 gelanceerd vlak voor de Women’s History Month en Internationale Vrouwendag door Felienne Hermans.
Felienne is bekend van bijvoorbeeld haar promotieonderzoek naar de impact van Excel op de samenleving, maar vooral van haar drive te onderzoeken hoe zo veel mogelijk mensen – ongeacht hun achtergrond – kunnen leren programmeren), Joy of Coding, de Hedy programmeertaal (met veel support voor andere alfabetten dan wat we in de westerse wereld gebruiken) en haar boek The Programmer’s Brain: What every programmer needs to know about cognition.
Ze is enorm goed in haar werk, en komt daarmee regelmatig in aanraking met vooringenomenheid over vrouwen. Daar verbaast ze zich terecht over, en ook dat het lastig om content (op allerlei soorten gebieden) te consumeren gemaakt door vrouwen. Dat overkwam haar bijvoorbeeld bij het luisteren naar muziek op de Nederlandse radio: daar kwamen veel meer mannelijke artiesten aan bod dan vrouwelijke.

Een ontzettend belangrijke podcast is [Wayback/Archive] All the Cyber Ladies – PodcastFeed
Een podcast voor, door en over vrouwen in cybersecurity.
Ik mis geregeld de periode van 30-35 jaar terug waarin IT-teams vaak “gewoon” uit 25% vrouwen bestonden. Gemêleerde teams zijn van onschatbare waarde voor goed functionerende IT, niet alleen vanuit oogpunt van #a11y en #inclusie: ook voor information security.
De tijd maakt inmiddels gelukkig een inhaalslag: er komen steeds meer vrouwen in de IT en je merkt gestaag dat teams diverser worden. All the Cyber Ladies draagt eraan bij dat proces binnen information security verder te versnellen.
De podcast is begin juni dit jaar van start gegaan en heeft nu al een trouwe schare volgers die hopelijk verder groeit naarmate Google deze hoger in de zoek-index opneemt.
Uiteraard is er ook een [Wayback/Archive] All the Cyber Ladies – PodcastFeed RSS zodat je die aan je eigen Podcast Player kunt toevoegen (en vaak staat die er al zoals bijvoorbeeld bij [Wayback/Archive] Player.FM: All The Cyber Ladies podcast)

Today is already the 3rd edition of what in 2021 was announced as [Wayback/Archive] Weird Pride Day. The first ever Weird Pride Day is this… | by Oolong | Medium
The first ever Weird Pride Day was on the 4th of March, 2021, and the second is on the 4th of March, 2022.
This is a day for people to embrace their weirdness, and reject the stigma associated being weird. To publicly express pride in the things that make us weird, and to celebrate the diversity of humankind.

Voor inclusie en toegankelijkheid heb ik het plaatje van de tabel met voedingsmiddelen op [Wayback/Archive] Coloscopie | LUMC onderstaand in een HTML versie gegoten dankzij Google Lens die voor mij de tekst via OCR eruit gehaald heeft.
Dit vanwege een ingreep die binnenkort plaatsvindt waarbij een laxeerprotocol met Picoprep bij hoort.
De tabel als plaatje
De tabel is niet leesbaar voor mensen met een visuele beperking, en is afgedrukt bovendien zo klein dat zelfs voor mensen met een normaal zicht dit bijna niet leesbaar is.
Vanuit oogpunt van (verplichte, zie onder) toegankelijkheid en inclusie van mensen met een beperking is dit onwenselijk.
