Yesterday I wrote about Windows of the World videos and quite a few people liked that a lot.
Today I remembered I lied a tiny bit. I did a one-off appearance in the field during the final performance of our show “The Musketeer“.
Watch me in the below video sneaking in from the back left into the show (at slightly after 16 minutes 10 seconds) and getting shot (at around the 16 minute 50 mark).
This performance in 2011 ended two seasons of The Musketeer which was one of our World Music Contest award winning shows. This time at WMC 2009 (our marching performance even got us to Wikipedia).

For my own reference:
After the preparations I’ve been doing, the above links (and below videos) make my training a lot easier.

Vandaag het oefenmateriaal voor morgen doorgenomen:
Plek nummer 49. Set nummers 0..35.

I had some excessive CPU usage (30% on a 4-core system) inside WheaAttemptPhysicalPageOffline when using an Intel HD graphics 2500 GPU.
At first I thought I needed to convince IT to update the drivers: Intel HD graphics causing high CPU utilization | Intel Communities.
Then I closed all Visual Studio 2013 instances and the CPU usage went to normal.
So I’m suspecting a WPF issue somewhere.

OSvirtual is a collection of virtual images of operating systems.
It’s a resource for those who want to recall some operating system/distribution, to try unknown OS or just to play with the virtual toy :)

In Delphi 6 and 7, .ddp files were used to store the Delphi Diagram Portfolios.
Often these files were created empty like `Empty.ddp`, so it pays to clean up those.
The below batch file (part of the free BeSharp.net code repository) will help with that. Make sure you download this Empty.ddp file and put it in the same directory as the batch file.
Call the batch file with the path to the directory tree you want to delete the Empty .ddp files from. Read the rest of this entry »

I just added a FIDO U2F Security Key | Yubico as a FIDO second factor to my Google Account: Add a Security Key to your Google Account – Accounts Help.
The cool thing: if you don’t have your FIDO U2F key with you, you can fall back to Google two step verification mechanisms like Authenticator, SMS/Phone or pre-generated backup security codes.
