Recursion

Posted by jpluimers on 2016/11/23

Apple fanboys all know about 1 Infinite Loop. Turbo Pascal adepts about the index entries “infinite loop See loop, infinite” and “loop, infinite See infinite loop”.

Google as a more direct approach: www.google.com/search?q=recursion

In most part because of [Wayback/Archive] Jeroen Wiert Pluimers: “@xahteiwi I thought I had blog…” – Mastodon

@xahteiwi I thought I had blogged about this years ago, but probably only mentioned it on G+: the Turbo Pascal 7.0 Language Guide Index entries for
– recursive loop
– infinite loop
– loop, infinite
If memory serves me right, Richard Nelson put them there.
That was some 10 years before the Apple One Infinite Loop address everyone and their mother talks about when mentioning recursion (:

The index of the 1992 Turbo Pascal 7.0 Language Guide also has an recursion entry for “recursive loop, see recursive loop”:

Since I put that as a whole page, here are pages 296 and 297 as well:

page 296; index entry “infinite loop See loop, infinite”

page 297; index entry “loop, infinite See infinite loop”
