De meeste ouders van een kind met een verstandelijke of meervoudige beperking komen meer dan eens voor een medische beslissing te staan voor hun kind. Wat kan en mag je als ouder/verzorger? Wat kan en mag een arts? Hoe ga je samen in gesprek en wat zegt de wet hierover? Hierover gaat het boek “Als je niet zelf kan beslissen”.

Mark Knopfler, the singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and the lead singer of Dire Straits performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. Mark is about to release his 9th solo studio album ‘Down The Road Wherever’ which features 14 new songs written by Mark. The album has been inspired by a wide range of subjects, including his early days in Deptford with Dire Straits, a stray football fan lost in a strange town, the compulsion of a musician hitching home through the snow, and a man out of time in his local greasy spoon. In addition to producing his own records Mark has also produced albums for Bob Dylan and Randy Newman. The multi Grammy award winning artist has also composed film scores, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

It’s likely older, but the oldest reference I could find was 2012 [WayBack].

With the above quote, it is no coincidence I started my blog even earlier (in 2009): it’s my off-line memory, way better readable than my hand-writing and indexed by various search engines.

Over het verschil tussen klimaat en weer, hoe “de wetenschap” bij “de gewone man” te brengen, innovatie en een toch positieve kijk op de toekomst.

Ondanks dat velen het niet geloven, is het is op deze wereld nog nooit zo goed gegaan. Laten we er voor zorgen dat dit ook voor komende generaties kan.

 

Ik kan een deel van de klimaat/weer geschiedenis aan een persoonlijke situatie relateren. Robbert Dijkgraaf geldt als een van de bekendste Nederlandse wetenschappers. De theoretisch natuurkundige is directeur van het Institute for Advanced Study in het Amerikaanse Princeton en woont daarom ook in de Verenigde Staten.

This was so much fun! Not just because doing circuit training with ex Dutch top skaters is really insightful, but especially their explanation on what happens on the mental level what happens when you suddenly have to stop performing at the world top level.

In my case, today will be my final marching performance with Adest Musica after al almost 40 year marching career, of which the last 30+ years at the world top level.

It is also the final performance of our show “The Composer” which won world second place in the top league in 2017 during the quadrennial World Music Contest in Kerkrade.

So there is one more chance to see this show, at this event (there are just a few more tickets left):
