Youtube – Extract Meta Data – Amnesty International

Posted by jpluimers on 2023/08/16

Cool that Amnesty International can do a YouTube [Wayback/Archive] Extract Meta Data (Amnesty International).

I wonder if I can write a Bookmarklet for this (it will likely require an HTTP POST request).

iOS/Android Privacy: InAppBrowser.com – see what JavaScript commands get injected through an in-app browser · Felix Krause

Posted by jpluimers on 2022/08/31

Especially on Archive, but also on Android and other mobile operating systems, mobile apps can have their in-app browsers to circumvent the OS provided wrapper around the system browser.

On iOS, the Safari is the only system browser engine whereas on Android you can have other engines too, so less Android applications have in-app browsers.

Most of those in-app browsers are in social media applications that go to great length to keep their users inside a walled garden.

The site [Wayback/Archive] inAppBrowser.com helps checking how severely information is leaked through the in-app browser as those potentially have a lot of control. TikTok is worst capturing all input including credentials like user names and passwords.

Posted by jpluimers on 2022/04/01

Voorbeeld:

  • Telefoon: Nul zes, twalf, vier-en-dertig, zes-en-vijftig, acht-en-zeventig.
  • Bezoekadres:
    Bezuidenhoutseweg 30
    2594 AV DEN HAAG
  • Postadres:
    Postbus 93374

Snowflake – help vulnerable people (like censored or in war zones) access the internet

Posted by jpluimers on 2022/02/28

Twitter:

[Wayback/Archive] Snowflake

Snowflake is a system to defeat internet censorship. People who are censored can use Snowflake to access the internet. Their connection goes through Snowflake proxies, which are run by volunteers. For more detailed information about how Snowflake works see our [Wayback/Wayback] documentation wiki.

Run a Proxy

If your internet access is not censored, you should consider installing the Snowflake extension to help users in censored networks. There is no need to worry about which websites people are accessing through your proxy. Their visible browsing IP address will match their Tor exit node, not yours.

If you would like to run a command-line version of the Snowflake proxy on your desktop or server, see our [Wayback/Archive] community documentation for running a standalone Snowflake proxy.

Use Snowflake

If your internet access is censored, you should download [Wayback/Archive] Tor Browser.

Medische gegevens | LUMC

For my link archive:

Problem was that the privacy statement was not on a separate page during DigiD logon: you had to copy/paste to word in order to save it.

Hoe is het nu met Zivver?

Posted by jpluimers on 2021/03/05

Posted by jpluimers on 2020/07/18

For my link archive a good article and nice discussion thread:

Meet Inrupt: for a decentralized web and new data ownership model

Posted by jpluimers on 2019/12/27

On my list of things to try:

Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, launches Inrupt, a start-up that will take the Solid open source platform and “Solid movement” to the next level with the backing of Glasswing Ventures. A look at the what and why.

For now, I have two WebIds and need to figure out how to link them (:

Hopefully the video below will help with that.

When archiving in the WayBack machine returns error 400: clear your cookies

Posted by jpluimers on 2019/08/16

When archiving pages in the WayBack machine, despite Privacy Badger having set to “save no cookies”, it still managed to set truckloads of cookies.

So I used the Chrome settings in chrome://settings/content/cookies to disable cookies and now everything is fine.
