For a future project: [Wayback/Archive] Turning Disposable Vapes into a Fast Charge Power Bank – YouTube
(Note the video skips a lot of steps, not limited to these risks: these cells can explode and vapes can be a biohazard)

[Wayback/Archive] Accessibility Myths has great debunks.
Quite a few of them are phrased with a web perspective in mind. That’s just because of prevalence. These myths are there on native platforms (mobile, Windows, MacOS and Linux) as well and can be debunked in the same way.
Similar myths are even there for real life: accessibility of buildings, signage, streets, you name it are just that and can be debunked with common sense.
An inclusive society actually is cheaper than a exclusive one, as it benefits everyone. The same holds for your software.

It was about 2 years ago that Jilles reminded me I had a flight case with gadgets too.
Back when I assembled it in 2018, I had big plans for showing private “cloud” container experimentation and gadget stuff at conferences. Then 2019 kicked in with rectum cancer.
So it was good that he helped me motivating to get it working again, especially as the time around assembling it so much fun and working on it brought back those days.
Here are the pictures:

Still to do for Michael: put the inverter on the underside of the table-top.
The picture is below; this is the part list: [Wayback/Archive] Michael Eberhard on Twitter: “@TuckiTina @MatthiasVialon AlphaSolar Komplettpaket ca. 500€ Ikea Tischbeine 60€ Holz aus dem Bestand.” / Twitter
Yield is not bad: [Wayback/Archive] Michael Eberhard on Twitter: “@truewhitemount Ich habe einen einfachen Zähler dazwischen. Gerade jetzt produziert der Tisch zwischen 180 und 230 Watt. In Summe bin ich im den letzten Tagen auf 0,6 – 0,8 kWh pro Tag gekommen. Noch ist die Motivation da, jeden Abend den Zähler abzulesen…” / Twitter

Before visiting Bitlair 2 years ago, I didn’t know there were so many hackspaces and FabLabs in The Netherlands.
There are (:
Starting points:
mapall.space with all hackerspaces and fablabs around the world. It even includes heatmaps of the spaces that use the @space_api (disclamer I made this site).”This is the hackerspace closest to my home: [Wayback/Archive] Technologia Incognita. At Louwesweg 1, 1066 EA Amsterdam, it is about 15 minutes bicycling distance (more information on in their wiki at [Wayback/Archive] ACTA – Technologia Incognita; onofficially on Twitter at [Wayback/Archive] Techlnc ☸ (@Techlnc) / Twitter).
Related tweets:
hackerspaces.nl (@NLHackers) which even has an API. Cool! “fablab.nl (no Twitter) which also has a map, however since there are so many more #FabLab in the #BeNeLux: no marking which are open/closed.”–jeroen

Sometimes you need a relatively low-tech solution for updating.
I will need to give this some thought: [Wayback/Archive] Poor Man’s Auto Update. by Chris Bensen | by Chris Bensen | Jun, 2022 | Medium
Back then I posted some edits on Twitter which by now should be reflected in the script and GitHub repository at [Wayback/Archive] chris-blogs/PoorManAutoUpdate.md at main · chrisbensen/chris-blogs (with script at [Wayback/Archive] chris-blogs/updater.sh at main · chrisbensen/chris-blogs)
