At USD 50, this seems like a bargain for Apple I / Apple II lovers.
From the The WOZPAK Special Edition – Overview page:
In 1978, The WOZPAK was a 300 page technical manual produced by Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange. The poor resolution of copy machines and fax machines of the era made The WOZPAK an illegible and challenging to use collection of handwritten and typed notes. This collection as a whole was provided to the A.P.P.L.E. by Apple Computer, Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak and then company president Mike Scott.
…
Thanks to the encouragement of a number of computer industry legends, and the efforts of Apple historians, Brian Wiser and Bill Martens, we now have a completely refurbished and dramatically enhanced version of The WOZPAK. The WOZPAK Special Edition comes complete with the original materials from The WOZPAK and The WOZPAK II as well as some new materials provided by Apple legends from their personal libraries.

Slowly completing my Apple II collection, I wanted to buy an Apple Mouse.
Well, that turns out to be a tad complex, as there are various models that are more or less compatible with some of the Apple computers from the mid 1980s.
Mice aren’t the only problems with old hardware: drives and disks die.
Maybe this is a solution:

Being away from a computer sometimes means you forget about events.
So before I forget: happy 30th birthday Mac!
For me, real programming started 31 years ago on an Apple II at high school, soon followed by a II+ and a //e. At first, I was programming in both Integer Basic and AppleSoft Basic, then with Apple Pascal (which was based on UCSD Pascal, but way too slow), and finally with Turbo Pascal 1.0 (after they installed a Microsoft Z-80 softcard in a few of the machines which allowed it to run CP/M).
Back then me, nor my parents could afford a computer like a Mac, but I was lucky enough to keep on people at the “close by” (30 minutes by bicycle) University to use one and program in hyper card and various Pascal dialects (and later Delphi).
Now I own a few Macs (most more portable than the //c) bought a //e and //c last summer and collecting some extension cards to make life easier.
Just look at the B&N magazine rack how popular the Apple stuff is today:
So again: happy 30th birthday Mac!
Without you, I wouldn’t be a software developer.

Some of you might remember that Apple ][ plus and Apple IIe was part of my early programming days.
I vividly remember the Vlasveld Computers shop in Leiden (back then at Morsweg 21 in Leiden), then ran by Aad Vlasveld as one of the first Apple dealers in The Netherlands. Back then I barely could afford floppy disks, but a few months ago I was able to buy the hardware we used at high school.
Well, I bought an Apple IIe from (from a private person as ClassicComputerShop.eu failed to react in time), so here are some links to stuff I’ve used: Read the rest of this entry »

Edit 20260223: added the e-mail header, relay mapping of e-mail addresses explanation and some archived links where needed, and some current links where the originals suffered from link rot.
I found back one of (the original Dutch link died, but is archived [Wayback/Archive] my earliest mail messages) [Wayback/Archive] my earliest mail messages: it is dated back in februari 1989.
