The services on Docker Cloud that provide application, node, and swarm cluster management will be shutting down on May 21.

If you do not migrate by May 21, your applications running on the Docker node cluster management service will cease to operate.
Swarms will continue to function; however, if you do not retrieve your SSH keys for the Swarms being managed by our swarm cluster management service, you will be unable to access your swarms using your Docker ID. For instructions on how to retrieve and access your Swarms with SSH keys, please refer to the Docker docs.
So soon, no more [WayBack] Docker Cloud – Build, Ship and Run any App, Anywhere.
Remember: still the cloud is other peoples computers, so be sure you can move when needed.

Via Best C# Article of October 2014 Nicolas Dorier – NBitcoin I learned that dthorpe (yes, that is indeed Danny Thorpe many people know him from the Delphi, C# and Google world) is active as Contributors to NicolasDorier/NBitcoin and on quite some Bitcoin related repositories.
When we met last summer, he was visiting the Bitcoin 2014 conference in Amsterdam. It is really good to see his activity, and I really hope his Opex.io venture (see his LinkedIn profile) will take off, as his ideas are sound.

Nuts, maybe marketing should put out more stuff like this. I have looked at Azure in the past and learned more from this post than then reading through all the pages of pricing on the Azure site. Thanks

Dang; I thought this had long left the posting queue, but somehow it ended in the drafts (:
Since then, many more event videos made it to Channel 9, including Build 2011, and TechDays 2012.
Anyway, here it is:
Microsoft’s PDC 2010 was held at the end of October 2010 in Redmond, WA, USA.
For the people that could not attend, it is very nice to view the sessions using the PDC10 player (it seems still people didn’t learn and start stripping the century parts from years again!).
Even if you are not using Visual Studio, .NET Azure or other Microsoft Technologies, there are a lot of interesting sessions showing the directions that Microsoft is taking.
Comparing that to what you do today is always a good thing to do: it helps you reflect, an important part of your personal development.
A few things I found interesting (in no particular order):
- Asynchrony support in C# 5 and VB.NET 11 based on the Task Parallel Library
- The choice to favour HTML 5 over SilverLight, even though Internet Explorer 9 and Microsoft’s HTML 5 authoring/development tools are far from ready
- Azure reporting: is reporting the next big thing on clouds?
- Offline versus online in the cloud world
- NuPack – does it bring package management to the same level as Ruby or *nix?
- XNA for XBox, Windows and Windows Phone
