Where to watch for StackOverflow / StackExchange downtime status: @StackStatus, @TechCrunch, @HNTweets
Posted by jpluimers on 2014/02/17
Basically, stackstatus.net is not actively updated when severe things like DDoS happen. So the best way to be kept up to date is watch these links:
- StackExchange Status (StackStatus) on Twitter. Not many updates, but at least some updates.
- TechCrunch. (@TechCrunch) They posted Stack Overflow Goes Down, Programmers Around The World Panic (It’s Back Up Now) | TechCrunch.
- HackerNews. (@HNTweets) They posted Stack Overflow is down | Hacker News.
- IsItDownRightNow. They have some sort of uptime history graph at Stackoverflow.com – Is Stackoverflow Down Right Now? and know that Superuser.com – Is Super User Down Right Now? is related, but not that Stackexchange.com – Is Stack Exchange Down Right Now? is related.
- IsUp.me. No history, only a current status like Down For Everyone Or Just Me -> Check if your website is down or up?.
