Cool, I just found out that Wikipedia has a Screenshot topic, listing how to take screenshots (and often shots of the current window) on many platforms, where (*) means I verified them:
- Apple Mac OS X
(*) Use “⌘ Cmd+⇧ Shift+3” for the screen or “⌘ Cmd+⇧ Shift+4” for a part of the screen (as of Mac OS X Tiger, you can press the “Spacebar” to capture a Window in stead of part of the screen). You can press “Ctrl” with these shortcuts to the shot goes to the clipboard, otherwise it gets saved as a PNG file.
- Microsoft Windows
(*) Use “Prt Sc” for the screen or “Alt+Prt Sc” for the Window
(note that on my laptop and multi-media keyboards, you need to type the “Fn” key in order to press the “Prt Sc”)
- Microsoft Windows Phone
Press the “Sleep/Wake” button and the Startbutton at the same time.
- Apple iOS
(*) Press the “Home” and “Lock” button at the same time.
- Google Android
Hold the “Volume down” button, then press the “Sleep/Wake” button.
(*) Or press the “Sleep/Wake” and the “Home” button at the same time.
- HP WebOS
Press the “Orange/Gray Key+Sym+P” at the same time.
Or press “Home Key+Power” at the same time.
- X Window System
Varies with the installed tooling
- Maemo 5
Press “Ctrl+⇧ Shift+P” at the same time.
- Google Chrome OS
Press “Ctrl+F5” to capture the screen or press “Ctrl+⇧ Shift+F5” to capture a portion of the screen.

If I read Inappropriate Use of Adobe Code Signing Certificate my conclusion is that anything signed by the Adobe Code Signing Certificate since 2012-07-10 potentially can be malware.
As a precaution, I will manually revoke the certificate on all my systems (that’ll take a while!). If anyone knows how to automate that process, please post a comment showing how to.
Hitching on a trusted certificate of a big software company comes close to the ultimate hack: trojaning signed malware in the distribution of an OS vendor.

Since the auto-update nor manual update feature of Philips devices over the internet never seems to work:
Today is Philips firmware using USB stick and app update time (:
One bummer is that the “firmware installation instructions” do not mention that you have to start with a cold boot one time before updating the devices. If you don’t, then the devices (especially the TV’s) do not recognize there is an update available.
So: always start with cutting the power (either by switch or by plugging the cable) then enabling power again. You only need to do this once before plugging in a USB stick with the update.
Another bummer there is that Philips does not publish direct links on their site either, so you have to browse through pages, select languages, then download the stuff. But the actual files are still static.
So below are the URLs of the pages and download links I used.
Note the links have been static, even over firmware versions.
Some tips on the links of the Philips site above:
- Replace the 42 in the URLs with the screen size of your TV to get the download specifically for your TV.
- Replace DEU or ENG in the URLs with your own language abbreviation to try getting it in your language.

Eerder schreef ik over De NS en UserExperience: er valt nog veel te leren over ondermeer het nieuwe Station Sassenheim en het gebrek aan ondersteuning in Apps omdat de NS webservice na (inmiddels) ruim 2 weken nog steeds niet in haar webservice heeft opgenomen.
Daarmee geeft de NS haar eigen site dus een concurrentievoordeel tegen apps.
Inmiddels is er voor de Sneltrein Android app een update geweest en kun je daar toch Station Sassenheim kiezen. Dank Jouke!
Nu nog een iOS versie van de Sneltrein App :)

Keeping the screen on while charging HTC Sensation
You can keep the screen from turning off while you’re charging HTC Sensation:
- go to the Home screen
- press the menu button
- tap Settings
- tap Applications
- tap Development
- select the “Stay awake check box”
Note: don’t forget to turn this off when not charging: somehow this setting will rapidly deplete your battery even if the screen is off.

It is very easy to turn off the GSM/3G radio on your HTC Sensation:
- Manually dial *#*#4636#*#* to get in the “testing” menu
(don’t dial this from your phone book as it won’t work, but dial it manually; it helps adding an entry in your phone book so you can remember the code more easily while typing it)
- Click on “Phone Information“
- Scroll down and there’s a button “Turn off radio” or “Turn on radio”.
- Press this button and wait a couple of seconds for it to effect
In similar ways, you can select the “Set preferred network type“, which for me is “GSM auto (PRL)“.
Note that the link below talks about “On the US version…”, however this worked on my HTC Sesensation obtained through the Dutch Vodafone Business branch.
